Levi Linton is a Toronto-Based African-Scottish Canadian Sound Editor, Recordist, Mixer, Music Producer, Singer/Songwriter, Performer, and Digital Content Creator.
He has travelled across Canada on location sound for Race Against the Tide, All-Round Champion, and Canada’s Got Talent. He’s also sound edited for MLSE working with the Toronto Raptors, Argos, Maple Leafs, and TFC as well as working with award-winning studio The Farmhouse Creative Labs on multiple broadcast TV shows.
His co-created, sound supervised and composed work VISIBLE (2020) is an award-winning narrative short film. It won the Audience Choice Award at the Regent Park Film Festival (2020) and the Best Canadian Student Film & Series at the Montreal Independent Film Festival (2021). It continued to screen at the Toronto Black Film Festival (2021), Toronto Short Film Festival (2021), Turkey Andromeda Film Festival (2021), Toronto International Women Film Festival (2021), Vancouver Independent Film Festival (2021), Lift-Off Global Network Toronto (2021), Regina International Film Festival and Awards (2021), New York Shorts International Film Festival (2021).
Other notable work in the Sound Department include LIDO TV which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (2022) in their Primetime category. The Revenge of the Black Best Friend which made its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival (2022) in their Short Form Competition category. Alex which premiered at the Holly Shorts Film Festival (2022) in Los Angeles. The Stranger’s Case which premiered in Ireland at the Clones Film Festival (2021). He also has a passion in music, both mixing and creating, with a keen ear for texturized and unconventional sounds, he defines unique characteristics in his melodies that blend well with his collaborators while going by the alias LE-VI. Now soaring over 20k streams in 183 countries worldwide and now having performed at the Drake Underground and Mod Club in Toronto.
