A24 - Undertone

Be afraid of the silence.

Undertone, directed by Ian Tuason, was recently picked up by A24 after receiving praise during its film festival run last year. It was entered into the Fantasia International Film Festival 2025, Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival 2025, and Sundance Film Festival 2026. The story follows the host of a popular paranormal podcast who becomes haunted by terrifying recordings that mysteriously appear.

I was fortunate to have Sound Lead Dane Kelly bring me on as Boom Operator, which involved:

- Analysing scripts and memorizing scene blocking

- Operate and set up Schoeps microphones for applicable scenes

- Wire talent accordingly based on wardrobe
