Crane by Carri Chen

Updated: Nov 19

A short narrative exploring healing and acceptance inspired by our relationship with our immigrant parents.

Crane explores the idea of self-expression and longing. Through a diasporic lens, Crane questions how we connect and heal from generational trauma, exploring themes of identity and healing. LE-VI also composed and wrote an original song for the film and recorded it with Samantha Ti on set and in the studio.

Levi's role as Sound Supervisor involved:

- Oversee and perform in all aspects of audio production

- Cleanup of recorded dialogue

- Curation and placement of SFX

- Mixing assets for various platforms

- Micing cast based on various wardrobe selections and weather conditions

- Setting up recording, mixing, and monitoring equipment

- Operating boom, Sound Devices 833, Wisycom Wireless Systems

- Coordinating with the camera and grip department to ensure maximum efficiency
